@talleyho4 I can certainly be inappropriate when called upon but I’ve yet to show that side here at Walton’s. Lol. Anything I’ve deleted likely comes from the lack of being able to edit a post 15 minutes after I realized I had a typo

@joe-hell No worries and no harm intended it was only that i try to open the last few posts and always says “this post deleted” and i wondered? Thank you for your reply and explanations- Keep on keeping on!!!

@joe-hell I just removed the restriction on editing posts. It should now let you immediately edit any post.
Hopefully that will help you, or anyone else, next time there’s a typo on a post.
And, if it won’t let you restore the deleted post, let me know if you want to and I can restore it.
@austin Thank you! My biggest problem seems to be posting photos. Do you have a recommendation for hosting sites? Every time I have tried to use a URL from photobucket it doesn’t work. Jonathon was kind enough to ‘repost’ my threads with the addition of my photos for me but I hate to rely on him for something like that if I can do it myself.
You don’t need to use another hosting site. You can actually upload photos directly to the site here.
In the composer window for creating a topic/post, there are 2 image options.
See screenshot below.
The red is to choose a URL/website link for a photo.
The blue is to upload a photo directly to the site.
Anytime I post an image here, I use the blue one. You can upload from your computer, phone, another URL or website, etc.
I think this is the easiest option for photos.
If we only talk photo hosting sites, i use either Google Drive or Google Photos. I create a public folder or album in both and put stuff there when I want to share with anyone or everyone.
@Jonathon and I have talked about creating a post for how to do a bunch of different things on Meatgistics, including uploading photos. We’ll see what we can come up with soon and get it out there to help make things easier for everyone.
Use the blue icon above for uploading photos on Meatgistics Topics/Posts when you are writing your post.

Hey y’all checking in from Greensboro, NC. I have been making kielbasa and summer sausage for about 24 years and smoking of course. Just built a curing chamber and am always looking for new things to make! Canning ,pickling, curing, smoking, you name it!
Thanks for all the help. I am very pleased with the products. I had a source I used for years that went out of business. Glad I have found you guys wish I had found you a long time ago.
@Tim-Salois Yes, brining and pickling are used in the same way even though they do not mean the same thing even though they have slightly different actual definitions.

@scottwaltner i personally think we found your problem. After the ice bath you need to hang them at room temp for at least an hour. That helps to bloom the product and help set the casing as well. I think thats your issue.
