We’ve gone nuts literally! With fall comes the walnut harvest and beating the squirrels out of them (they also destroy the tree). Of course my two dogs and pellet pistol make short work of that problem here lately. We have harvest about one third of what’s left, it will take a few more weeks for the rest to drop or a good wind storm. Lots of work to pick them up, hull the ones that are still intact, clean them then put them out to dry a bit. That’s almost 15 gallons drying on the deck. The worst part is shelling them. As you can see from the pictures, there are quite a few already, more sitting on the ground waiting to be cleaned and still more on the tree. IMG_0223.JPG IMG_0224.JPG
lkrfletcher sure you really don’t mean that your gonna throw it out, I understand it’s frustrating but everything goes haywire eventually. That is the finest equipment in smokers you will get for the money. Just collect your thoughts, call customer service and have them walk you through it or take it to an appliance store to see if they will repair it for you. If you still want to throw it away privately message me and I will pay the shipping for it to take it off your hands.
