Boone1 Yeah, puncturing the casing isn’t that big of a deal. You can stick it in the end which may or may not be open depending on the type of casing but in general, it won’t matter
Summer Sausage Seasoning
I just opened a new package of H Summer Sausage season in that I’ve had for a while. It turned solid but seems to taste ok. What do you think about dissolving it in water and using it?
That"s what I did with some of mine that did that, worked just fine.
tarp Yup, you made the right decision! Some of the seasonings can set up but if you are using water in your product it isnt too big of a deal. If you have a brick of seasoning and you are wanting to use it to make a fresh product and you aren’t adding any water a few minutes in a hi-powered blender will do the trick.
