Change of Plans!

So what to do when you go from a full weekend of watching your son play college baseball to absolutely nothing to do? Slather up two racks of baby back ribs and a pork butt with Pa’s Black Bull and getting ready to fire up the smoker tomorrow!

Brianh How’d it all come out? I made some pulled chicken with Pa’s recently and it was excellent!

It was outstanding! Once again, everyone pounced on the ribs before I got an “after” photo. It is flat amazing how fast 2 racks of ribs disappear! I was really amazed at the pork butt. My injector pump wouldn’t work so just dumped the Pa’s Soluble in the vacuum bag and soaked overnight. It was still awesome all the way through. Smoked it up to 150 internal, then finished in the oven to 200 internal in a pan with some Dr Pepper. It was amazing! Hard for me to imagine using any marinade but Pa’s right now.

Brianh Im glad we have found another convert! It seems to be people either love it or they meh it (looking at you AdamCA) I have yet to meet anyone who hates it. It is by far my favorite thing on pulled pork now. Other things it is good on are pork loin or tenderloin, venison backstrap and chicken! Enjoy!

Jonathon I guess I had built it up based on your hype. I’m not saying it’s bad or anything like that but I just expected it to be the holy grail and it wasn’t. Maybe I need to try it again. Now one that I really like a lot that you recommend often is the Cyclops Greek marinade, I absolutely love that. I’ve used it several times on Venison and it always turns out great.
