Gotcha…
I’m gonna try it like Paul suggested next time.
Hey Paul, is that you in your avatar?
Joe Hell Kansas just issued a stay home order.
Yeah, we had it in Wichita, KC and probably some other towns but now it’s statewide

About week into it here and I’m already good with it. This sucks but I get it.
Joe Hell Man that’s rough. Sadly we are going to see more and more of this, or I am thinking we will, who knows, maybe people will surprise me but no matter how much most f us come together there are always going to be people who only look out for themselves.
erich52 I mean, I never said I’d get right to it! Sorry, finally got it updated, for anyone interested I am talking about Erin’s last post with the “social distancing” thing and let me say, you are doing it right!
On the lighter side of all the corona talk. Just talked to a gal who exclaimed…
" I feel like I’m sixteen again. Gas is cheap and I’m grounded"
Yep!
PapaSop hahaha!
Just looking at some numbers from March '19 to this past March. Up 49k cases. Even with bars and restaurants all but shuttered, people are still getting their drink on. Good and bad. Feel for those places who are still the backbone! It’s coming around. You got this!
PapaSop People are always going to need food, booze and financial support. I’m very grateful to be a part of all of those industries and feel for anyone who is struggling. It will get better so long as we all do our part.
Sign of the times
Walked into Five Guys today, carryout only of course, and the order taker asked if I had an online or phone order I said no
He said they could not take walk in orders only on line or phone. Really? I asked.
So I walk out the door see the phone number and called in my order then walked back in told him my order name and waited for my order
By the way, three other people were waiting for their orders and we all practiced social distancing.
I wasn’t mad, if that’s the rule he had to follow it
glen Yeah…it is what it is. I’ve found people are generally patient and respecting one another’s space…as it should be. I’ve also seen many instances of extreme kindness. I’m optimistic that many will come out of this as better humans in general.
Good morning all,
It would be nice if all people had the optimistic view that you guy’s do! I can, however, See why people are fed up with the situation. I went to Costco the other day and they are only allowing a limited number of people in the store at once (great idea), but, everyone that is waiting to get in is huddled together in a line that extends to the rear of the building (in no way social distancing)!
wvhunter1965 We’ve got to stay positive! I will say this though, my civil liberties warning radar is starting to go off a little too often these days with seeing some of these ridiculous videos of people being pulled off busses or arrested for being in the park with their child. Once “lockdown” ends we all need to demand that stops immediately.
Jonathon I had to read a book in college once for a class called “Insurgency in America,” it covered everything from our founding to the present day, we even got to watch The Patriot in class. We also had to read a book called “All the Laws but One: Civil Liberties in Wartime” by Cheif Justice William H. Rehnquist. It covers times in our history where the government has taken away our civil liberties, give it a read if you get bored.
Tex_77 “read” for me has 100% changed to listen. Audiobooks are the way to go! I’ll check it out!
Jonathon Well…the largest concentration of covid cases in my area is centered around the Tyson Foods processing facility about 35 minutes from Walla Walla. This has of course caused a huge surge in business. We will have a 14 hour day today just filling orders. Glad to be working…but so tired.
Joe Hell packing plants here have huge clusters, we almost have as many cases as some urban areas.
Same in my neck of the woods. Three plants in Green Bay, WI all have had larger outbreaks.
Joe Hell Our hope is that with people starting to get product from a Butcher shop likes yours, and seeing the quality of product they can get they will stick with it when everything goes back to normal. Now, many won’t, probably even most but if 1/5 people who just started going to you keep going that’s a huge increase!
Don’t know what changed. At Sam’s club Tuesday, limit one pork butt. Today, let me grab a case.
