Jonathon Yeah, that is a trick. I do have another scale, so it wouldn’t be a big deal.
I also have a certified 1 kg weight for calibrating, but I guess I would need to get another one!
I searched to no avail for recommendations &
options about WiFi thermometers with multiple inputs. Be nice guys, treat me like your Grandpa ( the one you liked)! Would like to use it for grilling and smoking. Thanks in advance, I will even listen to Orange team members on this one.
I’m a big fan of my Thermoworks Signals. It had 4 inputs and works via Bluetooth and Wifi. The app is not the greatest, but I don’t need anything more than monitoring temperature or (occasionally) changing the alarm setting.
My recommendation would be a Fireboard. It has multiple probes, can control a fan, is wifi and bluetooth enabled and it logs all of your cooks in the cloud.
I HAVE THERMOWORKS AND FIREBOARD BOTH VERYGOOD
Any thoughts out there on the Inkbird IBBQ-4T. Lists at about $100 on line
deweymeats Everyone loves that fireboard for sure. We don’t sell them but people on here love theirs. Can you tell us what you are needing from it? Does it need to graph your smoke schedules?
I use use a weber iGrill, but I am also soon getting a MeaterPlus
lkrfletcher I’ve got both and they both have pros and cons. I prefer the app for the Meater of the Weber but I seem to get a tad better range on the Weber. I like that the meater gives an internal and ambient temp rating. I don’t like that the Weber sometimes makes it’s own decision on whether or not it will notify me. lol.
I have an older IGrill/Weber and the Fireboard blows it out of the water.
What does one of those cost?
I use the Chugod smart wireless thermometer. It has 6 inputs and many great features that even graph the temperature per probe.
lkrfletcher I think the 2nd Generation ones are around $200, if they are still selling the first generation ones, I think they are probably around $150.
Shoot. That’s a bit much and might eat into my funds for a new vacuum tumbler. I really want to try this marinades out soon.
Reason for the thermometer upgrade from my singles is I would like multiple inputs, (4?) and long range access to temperature readings. ( 100yards or more). Also want to buy one for a Christmas gift for my son & his recent Treager purchase.
deweymeats Fireboard I believe has 6 inputs and when connected to wifi, you can go anywhere and see the temps on your phone.
Six inputs would be better. The Inkbird is about $100 on eBay/ Amazon right now. As I read through the great inputs from you guys I realize that graphing would be a nice touch, an external fan start would too but gotta stop some where.
I love my meat sticks. Paring with my phone and wifi was a breeze. I was able to monitor my cook 3 miles away while out fishing. It may have extended distance as long as you have cell coverage.
deweymeats I have the ink bird IBT-4XP I really like it cause I can set a low or a high temp alarm for the ambient temperature it runs off a app on your phone think I only paid $60 on Amazon
