Induction Cooking
-
Has anyone in the community used this tech before? Been researching this for the last year or so. Sounds really interesting. Looking at a portable unit to offset the old electric range/stove. Just bought some new cookware to replace an age old set of T-Fal. Nice thing was, it’s induction compatible and oven safe as well. Win win!
Thoughts, comments are welcome. Thanks.Needed an edit here. It’s a bit of a stretch from our normal topics but will this somehow be applied to a smokehouse? Time will tell.

We have a portable one at work that we use for various things. They work well, you just have to make sure the pots/pans you are using are compatible. There are some high-end brands such as Thermador that sell full size cooktops that the entire surface of the cooktop can be used for induction.

PapaSop I think the cooktop will be great for water bath finishing

Our house has been using induction kitchen top for many years. It’s fast to heat and great temp control. Yes only skillets and pots that a magnetic can stick to work on these. The good old cast iron are great. Still having trouble finding a good pressure cooker that will work on it though.
