I smoked mine for 7 hours and it turned out awesome. Great smoke flavor. Not sure if it was from the seasoning, the smoker or a combo of both.
I grew up with home processing in my blood. I have been fortunate enough to pass the love and self sustaining skills to my children. We processed a steer we raised this weekend and one for my sisters family last week. We lost our mother in August of last year, not only was she the glue to our family she was also our meat wrapper. We have since ushered in the newest generation of wrappers my daughters. We always get our supplies from Walton’s. Always quick shipping and great customer service. bigtime377 great to hear that you are passing it on. The kids may not appreciate it now but they will down the road. I just took it for granted when I was growing up and now I look back at those memories and learning fondly.

Glad to know people are passing this stuff down, I feel like we turned a corner this year on creating more hunters, but we still need people who know what to do went he hunt ends, that’s where Walton’s begins! Hmm, there is an ad campaign in there somewhere… But it is nice to know that people are teaching another generation the importance of controlling your food supply!
